Small but mighty: Volvo EX30

Small but mighty, the all-new Volvo EX30 is a small SUV that does big Volvo things! Let’s get it out of the way: the EX30 starts at $34,950 MSRP, making it the most attractive premium all-electric SUV. Read on to learn more about the EX30!

The EX30 slots under the XC40/C40 Recharge, giving it a smaller footprint but still true to Volvo design with a long wheelbase, large wheels, and a stunning digital rendition of the Thor’s Hammer headlights. All this leads to a smaller carbon footprint, but the importance of safety remains. The interior is built using sustainable materials like the other Recharge vehicles. One cool standard safety feature is the ability of the car to sense oncoming cyclists, scooters, or runners, alerting you when they’re nearby as you open the door to prevent “dooring” accidents.

Under the “hood,” the EX30 comes with two powertrain options. The Single Motor Extended Range variant is for drivers who prefer to maximize range, giving drivers a Volvo-estimated range of 275 miles. Also available is the Twin Motor Performance variant, which packs two motors(one in each axle), offering the EX30 all-wheel-drive 422hp, and a 0-60 in 3.4 seconds, making it the fastest accelerating Volvo ever! Speaking of fast, the EX30 Twin Motor does fast charging too, as it has a charging capacity of up to 153 kW, letting you charge it from 10 to 80 percent in about 26 minutes and 30 seconds!
